I don’t believe that the answer to people-pleasing is to just stop caring what anyone else thinks. It’s normal to want people to like us. Not caring has never helped me feel more connected to another person…not even to myself.
The thing is, we try to change ourselves to please others when we don’t believe that who we are is good enough.
If you struggle with believing you have to change yourself in order to fit in, coaching can help you uncover, value, and express the richness of who you are.
Together we’ll identify your unique blend of strengths, values, qualities, and preferences. You don’t have to become someone else or put on a different version of yourself for each role and relationship. We’ll explore ways you can creatively use all aspects of who you are to show up as yourself in every situation.

During our complimentary 60-minute Hello Session, you’ll experience what it’s like to work with me as a coach. We’ll start digging into the shifts you’d like to make and leave you with insights and practices you can apply in your life. After you schedule a time for your Hello session, you’ll receive a set of questions to tell me more about you and help us make the most of our time together.
After your Hello Session, if it feels right to both of us to continue working together, we’ll meet over the phone or Internet for 60-minutes twice a month. There is an initial commitment of 3 months (6 sessions) so we can gain momentum. After that, we can continue on a month-by-month basis for as long as you need.
Our ongoing 1:1 coaching relationship includes:
- Two 60-minute sessions each month (minimum commitment of 3 months).
- Personalized practices to complete between sessions.
- Recordings of our sessions so you can be fully present on the call and revisit those a-ha! moments later without scrambling to take notes.
- Email support for accountability, check-ins, practices, and celebrations.
Your investment is $100 per session.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you know what I should do?
The short answer…I don’t. Coaching isn’t about me telling you what you should do. I’m guessing you get enough of that already. What works for me might not work for you anyway. Instead, we’ll work together to dig underneath all those external expectations to uncover your own wisdom about what is right for you. I will ask you questions, guide you through exercises, and reflect back what I hear. I may offer invitations, but the choice is always yours.
How much of a time commitment is this?…I already have a lot on my plate.
I hear that your plate is already very full and the thought of adding yet another thing is exhausting. In the midst of all the busyness, how would it feel to have two hours a month set aside just for you? What might change if you invested the time to get crystal clear on what truly matters to you and used that to guide future decisions about what gets added to your plate?
To answer your question more directly…You will need to set aside dedicated time for our calls (1-hour twice a month). We’ll also co-create between session practices that fit you and your life to put your insights into action in your daily life. In my experience, consistent tiny actions can be more powerful than one-off grand gestures.
Isn’t it kind of selfish to spend money on myself?
First, I want to acknowledge you for recognizing that you want to make some changes in your life and looking for ways to give yourself the support you need. As those of us who tend toward people-pleasing give of ourselves to those around us, we often fear taking more than we deserve. I get it and I’ve asked this same question.
I’d invite you to consider what might happen if you get really clear on your values, priorities, and boundaries? What if you knew and trusted yourself enough to make decisions with confidence and freedom instead of striving to win approval? You can be more generous toward what truly matters to you when you limit what you give to what does not.
How will we talk? What do I need?
The conference call service I use allows you to join the call via phone or computer. I’ll send you the link, phone number, and PIN number before our session. I do suggest using headphones to help minimize echoes and background noise. It’s also useful to have paper and pen handy.
It’s totally normal to be nervous. You know what that tells me? It tells me that this matters to you. You are trying something new and that’s very brave.
